Dan, And I think you probably are correct in your evaluation. I have this sneaking suspicion that even if I were to contact the manufacturer of the crash pad, they would probably tell me where to go and say something like why didn't you approach us before now about this. yeah, maybe that part is my fault, I guess I don't have much confidence in repop parts anymore. Trimming might be a daunting task also, I think I paid 200 bucks or something like that for it and I really need to think this through and make sure I don't screw it up. thanks, Armand ----- Original Message ----- From: "dan whitehead" <freebird_58@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: "amc list" <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, April 01, 2009 10:29 AM Subject: [Amc-list] Dash pad work Armand, the only reason I brought up trimming the pad is due to your statement that it only takes a little pull to open the glovebox door. Would it work to take a piece of paper between the dash pad and door when you open it. The paper would have a mark where the contact is being made and would show how "hard" the parts are contacting each other. This would show where the trimming would be required also.
