I've never understood how the tinted band bothered people. I'm 6'2" and like the reduced eye strain from not having to stare into the sun or head lamps from oncomIng traffic. ------Original Message------ From: Sandwich Maker Sender: amc-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx To: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx ReplyTo: AMC, Rambler, Nash, Jeep and family Subject: Re: [AMC-list] 10 worst auto fads Sent: Jul 12, 2009 6:52 PM " From: "Bob" <masheen@xxxxxxx> " " What's missing [] possibly the " 4" tinted band across the top of the windshield which all manufacturers used " (personally, I like the idea). i hate it. i'm tall enough that it's at eye level. when i had to replace my rambler's windshield about 10 years ago, the new one came with the tinted band. it hadn't occurred to me to ask, because in 2 decades [then] of driving ramblers and going to amc car shows i'd never seen one. the car doesn't have visors, removed by some previous owner. i've never missed them. the tint makes me slump, and that's uncomfortable. ________________________________________________________________________ Andrew Hay the genius nature internet rambler is to see what all have seen adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and think what none thought _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device from U.S. Cellular _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
