WOO HOO!!! took me 20 min to pull that axle out of the donor car. pulling it out, i was trying to get it to turn, and MAN, THIS DIFF IS LOCKED UP. then i went DUH, maybe it is a twin grip. so i was gettin excited while fighting to drag it to the shop where casper is. cleaned up the cover, and could NOT find the id tag. looks like one was around the fill plug, but has been ripped off. pulled the cap, and what do ya know. I GOT A TWIN GRIP REAR!!! i have wanted one for a long time. it is the 4.11 gears, but thats ok. ill live with it. heck, it might work pretty good. will see how i like the gearing with my tires and o/d and everything. then if i decide i liked the 3.78 gears better, i will get all new bearings, and put that r&p in the t/g. i assume that ring gear will go on the t/g? so, im in eatin dinner and cooling down a little. then after dinner, its time to go seal up the t/g rear, pull caspers andstuff this one in.
o also, for the twin grip, do i fill it with regular 80/90 gear oil, and addregular lsd additive? or does it need all special lsd oil? dave stohler
