Bruce, I think it would be fun to load five pro-football lineman into a 49-51 Nash Ambassador and go to a Chevy/Ford-dominated car show. When the other makes start snickering, ask your friends to get out of the car and say Hey, you gotta problem with this car? You're right, they're so ugly they're cool. When I read that article I realized that Nash actually did aerodynamic studies to develop a low-drag design. And the front suspension is narrower, to allow at least a decent turning radius with those half-covered front wheels. I guess it was obvious to some folks, but I had to read it. I'm kinda thick sometimes. Sadly, the only old Nash I have seen at Bonneville in the last few years has been powered by a non-AMC motor.
