as in my other posting, the candidates seem to be fwd, the '85-'90
tempo and taurus with the pushrod 'hsc' four derived from the old
falcon six.  the engine lasted until '94 but seems to be mpi after
'90.  and the renix won't bolt on; even the four's has a four-bolt
flange, vs. two for the carb.

that would've been the british mill, used in everything from grocery
getters to lotuses [loti?  the elan, like diana rigg drove in the
avengers] and highly respected, and was their equivalent of the sbc.

" imho the likeliest prospects would be the ohc pinto mill [which
" survived into the '90s] and the pushrod taurus [?] mill cut down from
" the old falcon six.  both are in the 2.0-2.5L range.
