You know those dinky little clutches never made any sense. Till you remember those dinky little trannies behine them! The idea I suspect was a weak clutch to absorb the shock and save the trans.
   I sometimes wonder about the meetings where the guys argued over when they had crossed the line and needed to get a stronger trans against the bean counters saying, "nonsense it will still work".
