Re: [Amc-list] Check out my Rebel Wagon

Does look good! I'd run the heater hose through the intake though. Check to make sure that plug in the front has a matching one in the back, and that it runs through. It should! Economy and cold weather driving will improve slightly, and there will only be a very slight (should be unnoticeable) decrease in power. MPG should come up 1-2 though, and cold weather driving will improve dramatically! Is that a 1980+ intake or an aftermarket? Looks a little like it could be an Offy...

I don't know that I wouldn't just clean up those floors, trim the worst edges arounf the holes, treat with a rust encapsulator, then bond (using modern panel adhesive) and screw a flat sheet of metal over them. Run some self-drilling shet metal screws through the edge of the floor brace, or drill and use small bolts. Top the whole thing off with a layer of fiberglass, then undercoat the repaired area with rubberized undercoating or brush-on truck bead coating. The repair would be as solid as replacing the floors, and could be stiffer with 2-3 layers of fiberglass cloth instead of one. It's to be a driver, right? New carpet covers all, so repair is unseen.
