I would be surprised if it's AMC powered. But I do know of a more radical Jeep -- a CJ-7 that is 401 powered. It's 4x4 too, but the front driveshaft is out (transfer case is still in though!). Guy goes by Fuzz401 on the AMC Forum (Fran's old forum, not the newerr one). I've seen it. Nothing like seeing a high-rise Jeep CJ-7 that looks more ready for mud than a drag strip do a two wheel smoking burn-out to warm the tires then run faster than a lot of the cars at the track!
