[Amc-list] Need some help in Tampa

No, I spoke to the mechanic down there.  It is definitely a rod knock.  Since my last e-mail, the guy from Kemptons who sold him the car went and looked at it and agreed, the engine is shot.  Not sure what he will do for him yet.  He initially told him if he bought a new engine, he would install it for him but he doesn't have to the money to do that.

Thanks,

Nick

With a rod bearing gone there should be metal in the oil, right? Lack of
metal might mean nothing, but presence of metal would mean something.
