Re: [Amc-list] Adding up the receipts, ouch!

I did that once upon a time with my American.
I forcast how much it was going to cost, how much I had spent and the fact I did not have neough of "my" money coming to pull off finishing it!
I then proceeded to decide to get rid of it. Some 15 years later it is still in my Garage, mostly finished and running.
My motto is, it'll get donw when it gets done! simple.
Look at what you need to do to keep enjoying it! Be it cancel the insurance and tinker away in the garage till better times or whatever it takes. The trunk floor? Ah, cheater patch, wire wheel, fiberglass cloth and resin. seal it top and bottom with a layer of paint. If it is not structural it will last for many years and can always be cut out and replaced with metal LATER. My front floors where done this way 10-12 years ago [god I'm gettin old] I never intended to replace them with metal when I did them. Still don't, the rust in them was pinholes and they where still pretty structurally sound.
