I think the Felpro gasket kit I got for rebuilding my 196 includes a felt ring which fits in the opening where the oil filler tube inserts.  Seems like old technology though, and I haven't gotten that far on reassembly but I can try to locate a use for all the remaining gaskets tonight and let Bruce and the list know more tomorrow.

What's a toroid?  Sounds kinda nasty.
