you'd have an unbalanced brake system.  for one, disk brakes don't
need residual pressure valves but drums do.  this would make your
front brakes 'lazy' and less responsive.  now if you put the javelin
[or just about any other amc] disks on also...

i drove '66-8 americans for 25 years and never felt the lack of power
brakes.
