[Amc-list] Mechanical (analog) temperature gauges

Has anyone successfully put a Summit or other mechanical temperature 
gauge on an AMC, especially a six? The bulb is huge, and doesn't fit 
into any AMC orfice. The "instruction manual" shows a T-adapter, but no 
ordinary T would work, since the bulb is so long.

So I have no idea how to fit it... I've had one for some time, new in 
box, no idea where I got it. I'd rather not spring for a new one if I 
can fit this one. The Stewart Warner electric types seem to have a small 
sender with adapters that will fit (the new manifolds have 3/8" pipe 
threaded bungs) but Rambler Mentality says I shouldn't buy one.
