Yeah, it's interesting to look at solutions and to guess what the 
problem was! I mean we see crazy "fixes" in old cars (tin foil fuses... 
:-) but not often from racing demi-gods. Clearly barney was solving 
extreme problems that actually existed...

I wish Hevner weren't so far away else I'd drag this thing over to him 
and bug him for some analysis.
