If that gasket does not work.
Get a cannister of the "right stuff" at an autoparts place.
It is a very awesome product and easy to use.
Very similar toe RTV silicone sealant to apply from a small pressurized cannister with tip.
That's where the similarity ends!
The right stuff is ready to fill and go when applied and does not leak!

I used silicone on my amc 15 rear cover twice and both times got leakage due to dings and machining gouges, even though I filed and cleaned it very carefully.
   This time I used the Right stuff and it is indeed the right stuff! Not a sign of seepage, nothing.
