Why not just have your booster pump rebuilt (or buy a replacement) and 
fix the problem the right way? The only reason the factory setup 
wouldn't work would be if you put a lumpy cam in the engine and have low 
engine vacuum. If you go the rebuild route, http://www.then-now.com did 
the pump in my American a few years ago and its been perfect ever since.
