Part of the problem is the guy in WA I contacted was not willing to throw it on a palate of all things. I told him I would send him money, and all he had to do is go behind a Home Depot, Lowes, or exercise or sporting goods store and get a old wooden palate, put the rear on it, and FedEx would send it to me. He was not willing to do that.
 
Then I talked to AJ in Sana Antonio and he told me about a SX/4 4cyl, 4spd being parted out at Johns Auto Salvage in Seguin, so heck, only 150 miles from me! I called them, they said yes, and $250 for the rear. I told them it has to be from four cylinder, and complete. They called me when they got the check and said 'a axle is missing, but a axle from a 80 Pacer will fit according to the book' to which I said no, I don't want a cobbled together axle, simply because when someone removed the axle, they probably tore it up in there anyhows, so I would be back to square one. So I told them tear up my check as not interested.
 
Then I drive to Dallas and look at a little 4cyl, 5spd Spirit, and they want $800 for it, not running, but the guy 'said it would' so passed on that too. 
 
For some reason I have had better luck finding 70 AMX rally packs than this darned rear end! I appreciate the keeping eyes open for me however.
