IIRC, Russ in Pa has a Howell he is looking to sell. Don't know if he ever did yet though! Don't expect earth shattering gains if you have your carb well dialed in. The real gain is the adaptation the feedback efi systems have when travelling over hill, over dale. They stay much closer to the ideal. After conversion on the American I would never dream of going back, it is night and day easier to live with. Even after sitting for weeks or months a quick cycle of the key to prime the system and it fires first time every time. It did that one the first install once I had it all hooked up correctly. I've never had a car start so quick after such a project before. I actually do not look forward to fooling with a carb on the 327 in the Ambassador, but have not figured out a truly lowbuck efi for it. I know since it runs the Delco based dist I can probably get something to work, but don't think I need to add to the complexity of the project. It's been way to long allready. Stupid physical Therapy keeps me so sore most days I just ignore all the stuff that needs done. It is getting back where it needs to go, after 4 surgeries in such a small area I have some doubt I will get to 100%. Ithink 80% is possible and compared to what I felt like this time last year, I'll take it. I haven't taken anything stronger than Naproxen since February 28. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II " Chronic Pain Hurts" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Tom Jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> > Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > > I know you had your reasons for going back to gas, but I think yer nuts.... > > $4.60 a gallon out there? > > I'd have left it alone and worked out a fueling schedule. > > Maybe a bigger tank. > > > It wasn't that much cheaper, all in all.
