the zephyr 12 was made in various sizes up to 305 in its career.  i
believe the senior lincoln was always substantially bigger.

they had problems with the 305 and for the last few years backed down,
to 288 iirc.  i don't think their casting tech could produce reliable
cylinder walls at the 305 size.

btw technically this engine was very much like a 12-cyl ford v8.
