The car shown on that site is not the original Hot Rod Lincoln. Check out this site http://www.hot-rod-lincoln.com/<http://www.hot-rod-lincoln.com/>. I had the honor of meeting Charlie Ryan several years ago. He was a customer where I work and also performed (for free) at a fund raiser that my boss' wife organized to raise money for a crisis nursery that works to prevent child abuse. He displayed his car at the fund raiser and donated all of the money that he made selling his cd's. He was a fun guy to talk to. In his younger days he played at a local bar and the bar burned down, destroying all of his equipment. When the bar was rebuilt they named it after him, Hard Luck Charlies. He also recorded several other versions of Hot Rod Lincoln, including one about a rocket race. Sadly, Charlie passed away back in February, a couple months after his birthday and shortly after he and his wife, Ruthie, celebrated their anniversary (70th?). Anyway, thanks for sharing this info about a great and fun man.
