Re: [Amc-list] What's a really nice 1984 Eagle Sedan worth ??

well, for the half shaft boot, that is simple. I'd just replace the entire half shaft, which I did on my 86 Eagle wagon (the shaft was starting to make a clunking noise when cornering). Replacing the shaft is very easy. I replaced the right shaft and both front brake calipers on my car and the whole job took me about an hour (and that including searching for the right tool once I got into the project). Valve cover isn't too big of an issue, I need to fix both of mine. Not sure what to do about the rust.

The driver's front half-shaft boot was ripped, the resealed valve cover still leaked oil just a tad bit (perhaps needs PCV work) and there was one quarter-sized rust hole in the front inner frame, just forward of the steering idler arm.
