Re: [Amc-list] Aluminum turbines--first gen was Turbocast I?

Mike Spangler and Cheryl Samuel have a white Gremlin that is just so equipped. I don't have a photo of it handy, but I'm sure it's shown in someone's AMO National photos somewhere as it has shown up several times.

I have two sets of the multi-finned solid aluminum rims (both sets were on Pacers, btw ), the turbines I call them - are they actually called Turbocast I's from the factory? I much prefer the looks of the turbines to the Turbocast II rims. I also DO like the 5-spoke star aluminum rims, they look GREAT when polished up. I put a single one on the back of one of my '72 Gremlins to see how it looked, and I think I will run turbines on that Gremlin when I get it on the road. I like the looks of it. I've never seen a Gremlin run turbines, though, only stock steel plain or 8-hole volcano rims. If you have a picture of one with the 1st style turbine wheels, I'd like to see a Gremlin with a full wheel set.
