[Amc-list] Prep for painting.... and Chrome removal question...

Anyone want to give me suggestions for prepping the car for paint?

I was going to spend the big bucks for zinc-phosphate metal treatment
and then put on a filler-primer but being that money is short these
days, I need some ideas on how I can (economically) prep the car for
acrylic urethane enamel paint....


Also, HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU GET THE CHROME TRIM OFF AROUND THE REAR
DOOR OF A STATION WAGON!?!?!?!
