Re: [Amc-list] Intake manifold question

This is the type question that gets all kinds of opinions! If it's going on a daily driver that will be driven in cool to cold weather I'd use the Performer. If it's going to be a fair weather car only driven in the spring and summer, maybe early fall, but not in weather below 40 or so, the Air Gap might be a better choice. The Air Gap is made to keep the intake cooler for a slight performance increase. For normal driving the Performer will warm up a bit faster, and should be a bit better for economy also. The Air Gap might produce 5-10 hp more under ideal conditions (warm days), but would suffer a bit in economy and overall cold weather driving.

Alright, for a relatively stock motor, which manifold is better?? The Performer or the new Air Gap?
