[Amc-list] Cam bearing oiling

>Which side specifically is the loaded side of the cam. Which direction
does the cam rotate? in AMC V-8.

Loaded side is the bottom. Since the cam rotates clockwise (looking at
the engine from the front) You would want your oil hole at about the 4
o'clock position or just SLIGHTLY ahead of the loaded area. You don't
want it IN the loaded area or the shaft will set tightly over the hole.
Just slightly ahead of the loaded area lets the oil pressure help build
a "wedge" of oil for the shaft to rotate on.
You would be amazed at how much oil can get away from loose cam
bearings. Or cam bearings with the hole in the wrong position!
 But HEY,,,that's just ME!!
