[Amc-list] Rear end gasket

Kent,

Most new manufactures today don't use gaskets. There is a product available at most of your parts stores called Right Stuff. It is the same stuff the new manufacturers use. I use it on the rear diff covers all the time and they never leak. Place a bead around the cover, bolt it on and add oil. It seals instantly so no waiting for it to cure before adding the lube like some gasket sealants. It is a little more money than Permatex but it is way better.

If you are set on using a gasket, I will look to see if I have any more for that rear cover in stock.

I know we sometimes have to ask for oranges to get apples for our AMC cars. "Try looking that up as a '72 Chevelle with a six in it." Thank kind of thing.
Looking for a gasket for the rear end on the Classic 770, 10 bold, perfectly round... but to no avail. Any suggestions here?
