I kept goign through them, finally bought one for $20 from Ron Francis
Wiring and have had zero trouble now for 2, maybe 3 years.... the $7
ones from NAPA (Echlin part) were all crap. Juice got inside them and
turned them into crap.

All my cars the lamp sockets are fussy. They scoop water off the ground
and corrode. Repair is "obvious" (clean, sandpaper, etc). Less obvious
is that the socket proper presses into the cast pot metal housings, and
you can buy them at NAPA (hanging on cards, etc) and press them in.

When you get them clean, and replace or wirebrush the bulb bases, pack
the socket with ordinary grease, then install the lamp. Water won't get
in then!
