  Here's what you'd get in CID's.  4.0L standard pistons are 3.875" in bore diameter.
   
  290: 3.875 x 3.875 x 3.28 x 0.7854 x 8 = 309.46"
   
  304: 3.875 x 3.875 x 3.44 x 0.7854 x 8 = 324.55"
