 I'm guessing that "those GM guys" are the HR staff."That article" must
mean the magazine as a whole. No where did I get the impression, and I
can't see how anyone else but you could conclude, "that it had GM
dripping all over it" in specific reference to the AMC article within the
G.M. oriented magazine. The pictures didn't have "G. M." dripping,
sprayed, nor draped over them.
 I think a point that the few whiners are missing is 1) AMC has been dead
for 21 years- there is business associated with collecting AMC cars butg-
the company doesn't exist to influence anyone 2) publishing is a business
and magazines are a way for the publishers to make money, 3) this
magazine happens to be G.M. based, 4) so what? 5) HotRod caters to a
general fan base that are buying cars, and parts for them, that sell in
large numbers, 6) how is the fact that some people can't separate their
feelings of being conned, shortchanged,or being made fun of in some
obscure way no matter how much of a stretch that is connected to the
reality that a) HR chose,in it's hypothetical ruse, of all the no longer
in business domestic car companies to reemerge- AMC- Not Studebaker, Not
Oldsmobile, Not Hudson, Not Plymouth, Not Packard, Not Willys,Not De
Soto- AMC, B) in recapping past models not a disparaging remark- overt or
implied, was rendered C) think about all the people that forgot or never
knew AMC's, including the all important YOUTH- that were,in a round about
way, introduced to AMC culture and icons.
  Wow, how horrible of them. I can really see why they shouldn't have your
business.
