Jeff,
  I have a magazine entitled "AMC Power Book - Rolling Thunder From
American Motors". It was published in 1978 and written by Martyn L.
Schorr. In it is a 5-page article entitled "Project Super Javelin". It
states that back in 1968, Marty Schorr and the CARS Magazine put together
this 390 powered Javelin. Is this the article you are talking about. If
so, I could make a copy of the article and mail it to you.
