[Amc-list] Removing front drums - leave bearing nut alone? Just remove dust cap?

Okay, rear shoes and wheel cylinders are done (and re-done. I went Adjuster cable, Primary Spring, Secondary Spring - so changed it to Primary Spring, Adjuster Cable then Secondary spring per TSM - does it matter, though?). Anyway - rear brakes are sewed up and I want to work on the front brakes.
When removing the drum, do I need to remove the cotter pin, bearing nut and all that stuff first? Or should the drum come off after I remove the wheel, dust cap and back off the adjusters?
