Jerry,

The plastic valve part failed most likely due to heat and cooling cycle
fatigue, along with vibration. Although it is possible that some one may
have tweaked the nipple in the past either removing and replacing hoses or
something like that. I'm not sure where the sensor is cause I've never owned
a Jeep, but my suggestion is look at the cooling system and it should be in
a coolant passage way or something like that. I'm thinking some one will
jump in here that's a Jeep guy and help with that.
