Re: [Amc-list] Puff the Magic Wrambler

Who said anything about fiberglass? Cut the hood, bend it up, weld in some new sides and a filler panel in the rear. No cracks as long as the filler used to smooth it out is thin! Otherwise give it more of a race car look and just rivet the scoop on top without trying to blend it in. A seam all the way around looks a lot better than a crack! Make a gasket for it and the seam will look even better. Painted to match the car would look good. Hey, get fancy and make a reinforcement around the hole and use Dzus fasteners to hold the scoop on! Then you can take it off for shows...

I really like the name, by the way. Maybe "Huff" instead of "Puff" though.

The problem is most hoods I've seen with scoops molded to them end up with cracking problems.
I have to do some more research on this supercharger as it appears to sit really high as it was designed for a TJ.
