sorry, i cant help you NOT go for it. i would have to
say jump on it. especially if it is in real good
shape. heck, even if you do n ot end up installing it
on your car, im sure someone else would be interested
in it for their 4.0. (i would LOVE to build a 4.6
stroker with one of those huffers on it. heck, that
could look nice in my 65 classic. 

as for hood scoop, get you a second hood (if you do
not feel like cutting up your current one) and
jcwhitney sells pretty high quality scoops you can
make functional. 

i know, i didnt help your situation any did i?? 

heres how to convince the wife. works with mine.
something is broke, you need to get a new one anyway,
for a few um $K more you can get a bad ass one.... ;-)
