I had a 65 we swapped a 71 258 and 70 B/W auto into.
The difference between the two engines was quite noticeable!
No mistaking it.
This is not hearsay. I drove the car for several years after the swap.
It was originaly a 232 auto and while it was high miles the 232 ran perfectly, the reason we pulled it was a shot fuel pump lobe on the cam and it was on it's second set of rings. so we accidentaly swapped in the 258!
 We only figured it out when it ran so good my dad ran the numbers to see what engine it was!

I'd swap it again.
In a second.
That was a fun little car!
I miss it!
