I know it's totally crazy, but I wonder with the INNER ends of the T14 vs. 
T96 mainshafts look like...

It seems obvious now that the T14 mainshaft is the ONLY PART that needs to 
change to bolt a T96 OD unit onto the T14.

A side by side comparison of the inner end of both mainshafts would just be 
really interesting, and who knows...
