I never thought of old gas as a problem other than varnishing a carb. Until Tom traced his black goo of death to it!
Now, that is something to worry about!
  I always try to make sure I stabilize fuels when storing, but I wonder now. Does the stabilizer really work against these type deposits when fuel ages?
