Re: [Amc-list] 343 intake manifold



I think the bolt holes were moved to accomodate the dog leg heads
introduced in 70.  As I said, the late intakes can be used on the early
gen II motors with a little work.  I always wondered how well the runners
would match up though.  With the higher deck height of the block it would
seem that the later intakes had to be a little wider to compensate for
the V angle of the engine.  So, will they drop down far enough into a 343
to correctly line up the runners with head?  Don't know if the difference
in deck height is enough to worry about.
