I bought the smallest clock from one of the quartz  clock makers, used the 
face from my non-operating 76 and 79 Pacers clocks, cut  the box down and 
attached the new quartz to the old face, reinstalled the hands  and located the 
battery on velcro under the dash. Works great. JBwelded a  piece of speedo cable 
to the part that changes time and let it dangle under the  dash.
