i prefer paper too.

i go one farther and partially memorize the directions.  another trick
i learned long ago is to look for the street -before- the one you want
to turn on.  how many times do you realize you should've turned just
as you're passing the intersection?  spotting the previous street sets
you up.

" Radio SUCKS around these parts, college town you know, dvd is for the media/living room, not a wheeled 2 ton weapon of death if your watching while driving.

even when there is a radio, i usually prefer something called
'conversation'.  when i'm alone, i let my overactive imagination
loose.  i'll probably remove the radio from my new jeep; it has too
many frigging buttons anyway - not good for tuning while you're trying
to watch the road and/or traffic.

at home, now that i have high speed internet i find myself roaming the
country looking for the music i like.  publicradiofan.com is your
friend here.

I couldn't get a movie on it for the trip to Hawaii, my 14year old did it! Watching a 2.4" screen is just nuts though, gave me headache. I'm sticking to music, wish I'd have known before I bought the 2 gig micro sd card. Only $27 and it is the tiniest memory card you ever saw!
