I put a 64 factory evap unit in my 63. BIG PITA! WHAT A WASTE! Expansion
valve was stuck. It ate the entire under-dash area.

I eventually bought a Vintage Air underdash unit, totally superior.
Calibrated for 134a, but mainly, the hose situation resolved automatically
-- all the old crap uses small diameter hoses with flare fittings. The new
stuff uses larger hoses and O-rings. Mixing the two was a big PITA! And who
wants to use a York?!

I routed the hose and added length such that I could unbolt the underdash
unit and sit it on the floor or seat. Very convenient!
