I honestly don't think it's worth the effort to do on a system that is in good condition.
But, if your going to do it, remember the tierod arc should mirror the lower control arc as close as humanly possibly or you will get bump steer, plus akkerman angle must be kept too.
Page 88 of October 2007's  Rod & Custom starts an excellent full detail article on suspension geometry and how it needs to be set up to stay out of trouble.
  Theres a lot more to it then just bolting it in place and driving off into the sunset.

  You may know all this, I guess. 
Back to my first statement, A good system with a box is not really any less effective then the rack as far as I can tell.
  My Dakota has a rack and too me it seems more "twitchy" then the S10 I had with a box. Could be alignment, tires etc;
