[Amc-list] Update: Delco Alternator Swap 70 V8

Thanks everyone for the ideas.  It did not look like a shorter belt would work.  Since it looked like the best solution was to find a bracket from a latter model V8; I decided to look further for a Motorola rebuild.
   
  I was originally having trouble finding a Motorola for under $85 and at that I would need to order it.  I found one for $40 at the Auto Zone hub store in town and am back on the street.  I had originally checked at my neighborhood Auto Zone store and the "clerk" said they did not have a listing for a Motorola.  A friend told me to check their website and low and behold I found one at a store 10 miles away.....
   
  Anybody want to buy a Delco single wire alternator cheap?  I have already cut the alternators mounting tang to fit the fixed bolt AMC bracket.
