We always do a major carry on with needed items on the trip out. It is a PIA at screening, but being without essentials is a nightmare.
  Unfortuneatly for us we just check everything but expensive stuff on the return. 
Thankfully, they got it all here without major problems...
  Next time I will probably not check it all.
  I will endure the hassle of screening on the return.
now I need to get myslef together and get a game plan in place for the coming weeks/months. I put everything on the backburner till after this vacation.
  I think the flame is out. I will have to rekindle...
