It just dawned on me that the Edelbrock may not fit on your manifold.  The 
Edelbrock is a square-bore carb, and you may have a spread-bore manifold.  I 
think they do make adapters, but I've never used one.  I have an Edelbrock 
Performer intake, which is square-bore.
