That Ford truck sounds like a winner. If you don't have any better luck then I did with my S-10 you will get no-where fast. I was told they would fix the engine noise in it when they came up with a fix. a year out of warranty, they came out with a fix, so I tried to get it fixed and was told, "sorry, you're out of warranty"! Most lemon laws only cover 12-12. Once that is past you are screwed. Even if they cover longer they pro-rate the buy back to cover your use! Leaving you with a potential buy-back that sucks anyway. I tried to get mine bought back and by the time I would have fought it out I would end up getting less then I would accept for it. I drove it for four years and traded it in on my used Dakota. Your truck being an 05 now puts it out 2-3 model years. Lemon laws likely will be no help at all. Ford will likely be no help, a lawsuit may work, but your going to have to find a good lawyer to help you get anything. The dealers love to pretend the lemon laws and warranties will cover you, but their favorite line is, " Now that it's documented we can fix it later if it becomes a problem". It's all a stall tactic to get you past 12-12 or completely out of warranty... -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 " I was different before people dared to be different" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "Garry Nordstrom" <gasnordstrom@xxxxxxxxxxx> > I recently removed the engine from the 79, preparing it for my 343, dynoed > 408 HP. > The engine which I thought was a 304, preformed radically, one wheel wonder > burning through 2 gears, mmmm thought this 304 is strong. when removed, I > discovered it had a 360 2bbl, contacted original owner, a women, stated > never done anything to engine.
