interesting!

the head works because bore spacing on the inline is the same as a
sbc, 4.4".  in many ways the 194/215/230/250/292 is an inline sbc...
it's an old old trick among dirt track racers, where the 292 and ford
300 fall into a class.

i'm a little surprised they didn't machine the block for billet 4-bolt
sbc main caps - but the 292 is the one six that doesn't use a
sbc-sized main, 2.75" vs. 2.65" for the 400.

curious that the block is orange in some pics, blue in others.

check the lifter gallery!  how easy to drop hydro rollers in there.
