Ebay ad item  260137389828 Not sure what what the deal is with this  
Javelin but vin code does not match car

I'm not sure my self what is going on either, other than the car is 
a lot rustier than it looks, but 
 
The VIN - A1C798P xxxx etc. 
comes out as 
1971 Auto flor shift Javelin 2 dr ht, Jav. AMX with a 360 V8
when I look it up. 
7179-8 is a Jav. AMX 
161R might be interpreted as a Back vinyl interior
but the paint code as Brown Metallic is not all that hard to believe
as it looks like a repaint and done well at some time in it's life. 
 
For what it is worth, 3 grand may not be a bad price on a car that 
is not getting more plentiful to where the word rare by attrition
might be a better way to describe it and if you are into hump fender 
Javelins.
