Sorry Tom.....been there and done that...The TF/TC will not fit with the ring
in there..it has to come out...or you will not be able to bolt up the TC
to the flexplate....also you stand a chance of damaging the front pump
ears if you try to bolt the trany/TC to the engine with out taking the ring
out...Jim
