I just had the tank from one of my Jensens done by one of the Gas Tank Renu places, and was very pleased. They had to cut 3 extra access holes to get past the internal baffles to get the crud blasted out. The interior coating they used looks like the same FAA-approved stuff I used to use to coat the "wet wing" fuel tanks in my old Grumman Tiger; and I know that's good stuff. Only drawback with Gas Tank Renu is that the exterior coating is gonzo-ugly, but the Jensen tank is tucked up where you can't see it anyway. Was pricy too -- ~$450. Would have been probably $100 less if they didn't have to cut and reseal those extra access holes. And I have used many of their products for over 10 years. I followed the instructions to the letter. I even had the tank boiled out at a radiator shop as a precaution. Within 6 months the sealer coating came loose and clogged the pickup. Luckily for me a new Eagle gas tank fit my yellow 74 Hornet with little mods and 6 years later I put another new one in my orange one too. Sometimes there is a place to penny pinch but this is not one in my opinion. I would have it professionally done with a guarantee and forget about it.
